Fuerteventura Golf Club held the 2004 Spanish Open, while the new Las Salinas golf course is already receiving great reviews.

The course in Jandia is a challenge for any level of player.

The Fuerteventura Villa is only 10 minutes walk from both the town centre of Caleta De Fuste and the new shopping centre.

Jandia Golf was the third Fuerteventura golf course to be opened and is a stunning par 72, nestled between the mountains. This Fuerteventura golf course is considered to be a testing course for all levels as it's quite tight in places. Jandia Golf is a great location for Fuerteventura Golf Holidays as it's close to the famous white sand beaches of Jandia, Playa de Cofete and Playa Sotovento and just 5km from the fishing village of Morro Jable known for its fantastic sea food restaurants, bars and leisure facilities.

For a perfectly manicured golf Fuerteventura experience and perhaps the best conditioned greens and fairways on the island, head to Las Playitas Golf, a well considered 18-hole golf course situated in the southern part of Fuerteventura.

In addition to the quality of the course and impressive views over the Atlantic, the bay here provides the ideal conditions for play at all times of the year making it a favourite destination for golfing holidays in Fuerteventura.

Head to the north of the island for La Oliva Golf, located just 4 kilometres outside of Corralejo and 40 kilometres from the island's airport. La Oliva golf is a luxury golfing community bordering national park land and is accessible from the resort towns of El Cortillo, Lajares, Corralejo and La Oliva. It offers a testing, desert-style course as well as full practice facilities and makes for an interesting change, either or a day's play or a great location for a golf holiday in Fuerteventura.

If you're limited on time try the latest Fuerteventura golf course, a nine-hole course on the outskirts of Corralejo. It might be a short-hole course, but 'Golf Fuerteventura Corralejo Golf' certainly packs a punch with plenty of challenges. It's bound to be a winner with the time short or those looking for something different and new.

Fuerteventura Golf Course

The golf course also boasts a 5 star clubhouse, the Elba Palace Golf Resort Hotel, which homes the pro shop and the resident PGA professional.

It has a driving range, chipping area, practice bunker and putting green. Practice facilities include a 50 bay driving range, club and buggy hire, a large putting green and a second green for chipping and bunker shots.

Las Salinas Golf Course

The second course to open was built alongside the first one in Caleta.

This is very well set up as a course that is ideal for the holidaymaker type golfer, as well as experienced golfer, it being slightly less challenging than Fuerteventura Golf Course.

This course is currently maintained in very good condition.

Jandia Golf Course

The course in Jandia, on the right as you enter Morro Jable, though open still has a few teething problems. The course is quite hilly and would be more suitable if the course had buggiess, but at the moment there aren't any.

The paths between tees aren't clearly defined and it can be difficult to find the next tee. It is well laid out and if the teething problems can be sorted out this promises to be a good course.
